As a shoe manufacturer, Stuco operates in an environment that is unfortunately all too often
confronted with negative social issues such as child labour, discrimination against women
and failure to comply with safety standards. Although we operate and manufacture in Europe,
we want to do everything we can to prevent these extremely negative developments in our
production chain.

COMPLIANCE INITIATIVE
As a member of the Global Compact launched by Ko昀 Annan, amfori BSCI, and thus also
Stuco, is committed to accepting a uniform code of conduct based on the UN Declaration
of Human Rights, the fundamental labour rights of the ILO and the UN conventions on
children8s rights and the abolition of all discrimination against women.
The practical implementation of the code of conduct is regularly reviewed by independent
audit companies recognised by Social Accountability International. In addition, there are
further checks by amfori BSCI and training measures designed to help suppliers improve
their social performance.
